In this class I hope to learn about how to properly and appropriately use technology in my life as a student and potential future instructor. Although technology is such a great tool to use in my professional as well as personal life, there are ways that this resource can be poorly utilized. In the case of AI for example, it can be misused and usage of it may be seen as dishonorable in the classroom setting. I am interested to learn how to appropriately use tools like AI to my advantage and enhance the learning experience for me, my peers, and my potential future students.

My experience and knowledge with technology is fairly basic and what you would expect from a student. I have experience in platforms such as Word, PowerPoint, Canvas, Google Docs, Google Slides, Canva, and social media apps such as Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and formerly Twitter. I have some but not a lot of past experience with apps like Excel and Access. Throughout my life as a student, I have mastered the use of Microsoft Windows, but have little to no experience using Apple products for my studies. These tools have helped me in completing assignments, creating and presenting projects, brainstorming, studying, and even designing. Communication apps such as WhatsApp, Group Me, and Outlook have also been a great resource to help me stay in touch with my instructors and peers.

The personal learning networks I am currently exploring include fitness and cuisine. Exercising has been a priority and hobby of mine for the past year or so, and I am constantly trying to expand my mind to learn more about how to keep my body healthy in any way I can. This includes researching workout plans and finding what works best for me, practicing and applying my research into my routine, networking with more experienced individuals and asking for their advice, and most importantly eating the right foods. In the past, I thought eating healthy was eating boring, but through my curiosity and desire to find wellness, I have learned so much about cooking food that is both good and good for you! My main source of learning has been the internet. I am always on social media finding new recipes and new ways to cook that seem interesting to me. The use of social media and the people around me has really broadened and enhanced my understanding of how to reach my goals!
